2025-2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan

The Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) is a long-range planning document that the MPO develops to identify a set of projects and programs to enhance all modes of travel in the region. The MTP identifies projects and policies for implementation by the WFMPO over the next 25 years. This edition spans the years 2025 through 2050. 

The 2025-2050 MTP aims to shape the future of transportation in the Wichita Falls metropolitan planning area. It recommends dozens of projects to facilitate easier walking, biking, bus travel, and driving. This plan also includes enhancing connectivity and access, improving safety and security, boosting public transportation, and increasing airport accessibility, among others.
